Ordering & Delivery
Order Amendments & Cancellations
Cancellations or amendments of orders must be confirmed in writing whereupon Home & Found will endeavour to cancel or amend the order accordingly. Your order of bespoke items cannot be cancelled or amended if Home & Found has already cut the fabric from stock or put the order in to production.
Home & Found retains the right to cancel your order (or any part of it) which has not yet been delivered and shall provide you with a full refund if it exercises this cancellation right.
Production Of Bespoke Items
Production of your order will start a) when payment is received or b) when all the details of the order are received, whichever is later. A delay in receipt of payment or confirmation of specifications will usually lead to a delay in the production of the order.
Your Order Acceptance
You should unpack and inspect your order immediately on delivery. Within 3 days of delivery please give Home & Found notice in writing if any of the goods are not in accordance with the written order, damaged or defective.
Home & Found cannot accept claims for non-delivery of the order unless notified in writing within 5 days of the agreed delivery date.
UK Delivery
We request all delivery charges to be paid in full before your order leaves our warehouse. If your order is not dispatched or collected on the agreed ready date Home & Found may at its discretion charge weekly storage fees.
Collection
You are welcome to arrange collection of your order between 9am and 4pm GMT. Please ensure that we have at least 24 hours’ notice of collection and that your courier service has the relevant invoice number. Note that your professional collection service will need to bring suitable packaging, protection and manpower to transfer the items safely and securely. We reserve the right to advise our clients at the point of collection if we believe that your collection service is not suitable for the order.
If you would like us to crate or otherwise pack your order ready for collection, please let us know.
If you are organising your own collection Home & Found bears no responsibility for orders damaged in transit once they have been collected from our premises.
Risk & Title
Risk in the goods that you have ordered shall pass to you when they are dispatched or collected.
Title to the goods that you have ordered shall pass to you once the goods are dispatched or collected and Home & Found has received payment from you in full and cleared funds for the goods.
Appearance
Please be advised that each item is vintage with the unique surface characteristics of the maker and their process remaining visible. As such, a degree of natural marks and variation should be expected, making every item unique.
Please note the colours of some items may fade in direct sunlight and mark if anything is spilt on them.
Cleaning Instructions, Shrinkage & Fading
We recommend you do not use chemicals to clean our items. It is recommended that you use a dry duster – and emphasise gentle cleaning.
The natural fibres and water-based pigments used in our items cannot be guaranteed against fading, particularly when exposed to direct sunlight.
We cannot accept claims for any fading caused by any reason or condition.
Handmade Production
Home & Found aims to offer beautiful unique one-off pieces which will endure for generations. The items in our collection are old and may show signs of age – patina – they are not perfect but to us that is part of their charm.
Home & Found believes that the original handmade finish and aged nature of the vintage products it sources add to the beauty and individuality of each piece. The finish may not be uniform nor their condition ‘perfect’ – we believe the intrinsic irregularities of these handmade products are to be celebrated.
