Processing Your Order

Orders are typically processed and dispatched within 5–7 business days of order confirmation, unless otherwise stated on the relevant product page.

Please note that made-to-order and bespoke items require additional production time. Where applicable, estimated lead times will be provided on the product page or confirmed following your order.

If you need to amend or cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. Whilst we will always endeavour to accommodate changes, we cannot guarantee amendments or cancellations once an order has entered production or has been prepared for dispatch. Bespoke and made-to-order items cannot be cancelled once production has commenced.

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated automatically at checkout based on the weight, size and destination of your order.

All available shipping options and applicable delivery charges will be displayed before payment is completed.

For international orders, the shipping charges shown at checkout cover delivery only and do not include any import duties, customs charges, VAT or other local taxes that may be payable upon arrival in the destination country. Where applicable, these charges are assessed by the destination country's customs authority and are the responsibility of the recipient.

UK Delivery

Orders within the United Kingdom are shipped using a fully tracked and signed-for delivery service.

Estimated delivery is 2–3 working days from dispatch.

International Delivery

We are pleased to ship internationally to a wide range of destinations using fully tracked delivery services where available.

Estimated delivery is 7–10 working days from dispatch, although customs clearance and local delivery services may occasionally result in longer transit times.

Furniture & Oversized Items

Furniture and other oversized items require specialist delivery and cannot be purchased directly through our website.

Following your enquiry or purchase request, we will prepare a bespoke quotation that includes delivery based on the size of the item, destination and any specialist handling requirements. Delivery will only be arranged once the quotation has been accepted and full payment has been received.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that purchased furniture can be safely delivered to the intended location, including access through doorways, staircases, corridors and lifts where applicable.

Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email containing your tracking information.

Delivery Inspection

We recommend inspecting your order as soon as possible after delivery.

As many of our pieces are antique, vintage or handcrafted, signs of age, patina, historic repairs, natural variations and minor imperfections form part of their character and should not be considered defects. We encourage customers to review product descriptions and photographs carefully before purchasing.

If you believe your order has been damaged during transit, is faulty or differs materially from its description, please contact us as soon as possible.

For items damaged in transit, we ask that you notify us within 3 days of delivery, together with photographs of the item, its packaging and any visible damage where possible. Prompt notification allows us to investigate with the courier and resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

Claims relating to non-delivery should be reported within 5 days of the estimated delivery date where possible.

Returns & Refunds

Returns

We accept returns on eligible items within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a refund, items must be returned unused, in their original condition and, where possible, in their original packaging.

To request a return, please contact us with your order number and reason for returning your purchase. We will provide return authorisation together with instructions for returning your item.

Unless the item is faulty, customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping. We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service, as returned items remain the customer's responsibility until safely received by us.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless they are faulty or not as described:

  • Bespoke or made-to-order products.
  • Products made to your individual specifications.
  • Items that have been altered, installed or used after delivery.

Refunds

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, any approved refund will be issued to your original payment method within 7–10 business days.

Original delivery charges, return shipping costs, customs duties and import taxes are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.


Product Characteristics

Home & Found specialises in carefully sourced antique, vintage and handcrafted pieces, each chosen for their individuality and enduring character.

Many of our products have lived previous lives and may display signs of age, patina, historic repairs, surface wear, colour variation or other characteristics that reflect their history. These features are an intrinsic part of their beauty and authenticity and should not be regarded as faults.

Where products are made using natural fibres, pigments or traditional finishing techniques, gradual changes in colour may occur over time, particularly if exposed to prolonged direct sunlight. We recommend gentle care and avoiding harsh chemical cleaning products unless otherwise stated.

Product Information

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, dimensions, photography, pricing and availability are accurate.

As many of our products are antique, vintage or handmade, slight variations between photographs and the delivered item may naturally occur.

Occasionally, errors or omissions relating to product descriptions, pricing, availability or shipping information may occur. We reserve the right to correct such errors, update information or cancel orders where necessary. Should an order be cancelled for this reason, any payment received will be refunded in full.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Shipping & Returns Policy from time to time. Any changes will apply to future orders only and will not affect orders that have already been accepted.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
